Welcome to Sonshine Kids Daycare and Learning Center at Jerseyville First United Methodist Church. Sonshine Kids is a Christian daycare serving children from 6 weeks of age through 6th grade. We have wonderful teachers on the Sonshine Kids’ staff. Our staff consists of approximately 35 teachers and assistants. Each employee is required to meet both educational and general requirements given through the Department of Children and Family Services and the State of Illinois. Each teacher is also required to complete continuing education throughout each school year. The teachers will provide your child with a variety of exciting early learning experiences. It is the mission of the First United Methodist Church to be a force of good in the community and to help families. Through Sonshine Kids Daycare and Learning Center, it is our hope to provide families with quality daycare which will include hands-on materials such as Bible stories, non-denominational Christian videos, tapes, and projects. Our center is licensed through DCFS to accommodate 150 children. Teacher to child ratios are strictly followed per their guidelines. We are open from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. Monday through Friday. We are also open most holidays (except for New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Day),and days that Unit #100 is not in session. It is our hope that your child has a wonderful experience at Sonshine Kids. |
